Former Samples drummer Jeep MacNichol recently laid down a series of tracks with reggae icons Sly & Robbie. A founding member of the seminal Colorado organic pop band the Samples, Jeep has toured solo since 1997, switching to guitar and experimenting with drum machines. Recorded during a ten-week trip to Jamaica, Mr. Anonymous also features appearances from Bounty Killer, The English Beat's Dave Wakeling, Cutty Ranks and Beck sideman DJ Swamp. Blending the relaxed atmospheres of Colorado and Jamaica, Mr. Anonymous nods to reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, salsa, electronica, dub and acoustic.
