Sometimes it takes a nobody - or at least an anonymous somebody - to get stars to come together.
On Mr. Anonymous Samples drummer Jeep MacNichol packed his bags, headed to Jamaica and chased down some of the islands most influential singers and DJs for a batch of collaborations. With a cut featuring The English Beats Dave Wakeling and a Sly and Robbie collaboration serving at its centerpiece, Mr Anonymous brings some of Jamaicas most notable performers onto a single platter. Other tracks feature Black Uhurus Michael Rose, Turbulence and Bounty Killer, and take the albums direction everywhere from classic dub to dancehall and electronica.
