NEWS BULLETIN from Mr. Anonymous:
Original drummer for The Samples Jeep Macnichol (a.k.a. Mr. Anonymous) is ready to drop another fresh single called “Vibewise”. This track features a psychedelic mix of live steel drums and distant guitar chime over a slamming reggaton bass drum groove. With soaring autotune melodies to the extreme, Anonymous ventures further into the ethereal stratus, like a T-pain track on mushrooms. Visualize relaxing on the beach or in the jungle with a good smoke sipping a fine rum…This is the vibe of “Vibewise”!
“My video director, Pete Coggan from 42 Productions called me a couple months ago saying he was going to Puerto Rico for a few days to hang with some old college buddies” says Anonymous. “Write a tune and lets shoot a video for a couple days!!!”
“So thats what we did. The vibe of this song was a freeflow of ideas spur of the moment. I really wanted to make the sound cinematic and trippy, and I especially wanted to play live steel drum. I also wanted to juxtapose a live jazz “Elvin Jones” drum groove against a static danceclub drum machine beat”…the end result: Vibewise!
“I was TOTALLY inspired by Puerto Rico…Coffee, Rum, Reggaeton music, thick jungle, beautiful beaches, fresh herbs…. We had a blast shooting the video, and I had a blast making the song”. Enough said and stay tuned for the music video and track when it comes out.
