'68 Gibson es345
electric guitar

Kramer stick bass

Marshall m-2 miniamp

Tribes drumset

Line 6 delay modeler

Epiphone acoustic guitar

ROLAND GROOVEBOX MC303 – i use this for all of my synth sounds, moog bass, and drum and percussion programming. i have to thank my buddy Ted Haider (T-Storm) for introducing me to this amazing instrument... if i were stuck on an island with only one instrument, it would have to be the Groovebox!!!

Keyboard riff on the song "Player Hater"

Minimalist "Dwale" rhythm on the song "Harmony Bus"

'57 MARTIN 0018 ACOUSTIC GUITAR – my buddy Scott Roche at Coupe Studio in Boulder colorado picked this guitar up at an auction. it belonged to a single owner who was an old time country picker from Austin Texas. i used this guitar for everything!!!! smaller body with great tone and percussive feel!!!

Guitar riff on "Mr. Anonymous"

'68 GIBSON ES345 (hollow body) ELECTRIC GUITAR – this is another guitar from scott's arsenal at coupe studio. this is my favorite electric guitar sound...kind of a vintage, warm, a.m., Beach Boys/ Byrds quality....

Guitar riff on "Swing"

KRAMER STICK BASS – this is the first bass i ever had. i got it used at a pawn shop in Toledo, Ohio in 1983. Robbie Shakespeare, Sting, and Jamaladeen Tacuma were all fans of this bass in the early 80's. it has a great "African sounding" attack on the strings.... really "mid- rangey" and punchy sounding...it works great against the low rumble of a moog bass!!!

Bass riff on "Player Hater"

MARSHALL M-2 MINIAMP – this amp straps to your belt and has a killer tone in the studio, at lower volumes. this is the only amp i used on the entire "Mr. Anonymous" album....

Guitar riff (featuring the Marshall M-2 miniamp) on the song "Good Vibe"

TRIBES DRUMSET – i played on an 18" kick drum, 61/2" snare drum, and 13" sabian hihats...these drums have a nice fat, tight, punchy, sound!!!

LINE 6 DELAY MODELER – in my live show, i use one on my voice and one on my guitar...it is primarily a guitar effect and i used it on the song "Get Ready"...this effect is great because it models all of the classic "Stomp Box" delay pedals...great vintage, space echoes!!!

Delayed guitar line on the song "Get Ready"

EPIPHONE $100.00 ACOUSTIC GUITAR (with 3 strings) – i got this low budget Epiphone acoustic guitar about 7 years ago in florida...it cost less than $100.00 and has been one of my favorites... i broke some strings on it last year and just kept playing with only 3 strings... my "guitar player" friends think i'm lazy about restringing it, but i've come up with some great grooves because of it... the songs "Always" and "Get Ready" were written and recorded on this guitar (with only 3 strings)!!!

Guitar riff on "Always"

MEGAPHONE – i use this for a lot of vocal tracks to bring in that "low-fi" sound!!!!
